Restoration Workdays

Encourage native plants and animals to thrive by cutting brush, controlling invasive species, collecting seeds, sowing seeds, monitoring rare species, and preparing fire breaks. Show up for a day or become a steward responsible for all volunteer activities at an SNA. Any level of participation is encouraged and no experience is necessary to start volunteering.

If you are interested in learning to use a power tool we can help you learn. If you prefer to use your hands there are plenty of roles for you as well. If you can't do the physical work but would still like to contribute, providing snacks for our volunteers is always appreciated!

Our work in the Upper Sugar River Wetlands State Natural Area happens on the fourth Saturday of most months. Fill out our Volunteer Interest Form below to get the latest updates on exact workday locations and times.
